Founding Director (QC3)
Dr. Trung Duong is the Founding Director of the Quantum Communications and Computing Centre (QC3). He holds the prestigious Canada Excellence Research Chair and is a Full Professor at Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada. His research spans a broad range of cutting-edge areas, including quantum machine learning, quantum optimization, signal processing, as well as 5G/6G wireless communications and the Internet of Things (IoT). His work emphasizes practical applications across healthcare, disaster management, energy, agriculture, environmental monitoring, and smart cities.
QC3 is a dynamic research hub comprising nearly 100 members, including faculty members, postdoctoral researchers, and students from a variety of disciplines, ranging from physics and chemistry to engineering, applied science, finance, and medicine.
